Jungle Safari is the theme of Vacation Bible School at the United Church of Crawfordsville beginning Monday, Aug. 5 through Friday, Aug. 9 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Ages Preschool through 6th grade are welcome. There will be Bible lessons, games, activities, crafts, singing, treats and more. Supper will be provided.
A son, Sawyer Everett Rugg was born Thursday, July 18, 2019, to Uriah and Shannon Rugg. He weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces and was 20 inches long. He was born on his Grandpa and Grandma Peserik's wedding anniversary. Grandparents are Reuben and Joyce Peserik of Two Rivers, Wisc. and Sanford and Nancy Rugg of Crawfordsville and great-grandparents are the late Henry and Betty Davis of Crawfordsville and the late Walter and Helen Rugg of Wayland.
The Spring Run Ice Cream Social will be held Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, from 5-7 p.m. Hot chicken sandwiches, beef burgers, potato salad, pies and cakes are on the menu, along with homemade ice cream.
A free-will offering will be taken with proceeds going to Missions.
The Crooked Creek 4-H Club is planning to do a service project where they will pack toiletry bags for the Stead Family Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House. All items needed are travel size except hand soap. For more information contact Sierra Gillis.
