The regular meeting of Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society was held Monday, May 23, at the Olds United Church of Christ.
The meeting was called to order by President Sharon Bright. She opened the meeting with the group singing Sword of Gold. Betty Molander gave meditations by reading a story ?Where Would We Be without the Letter M?
Fourteen members answered roll call with their favorite television show. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved with no additions or corrections.
There was no correspondence. The treasurer?s report was given by Lisa Kempf.
Committees: prior to the meeting a camp shower was given for the three girls going to camp. The girls introduced their mothers and opened their gifts. They enjoyed painting and appliqueing their nails and making a refrigerator magnet to take home.
Nancy reported help is needed marking the items for each girl and packing. Tina, Missy and Sharon will help get each girl ready to go. Nancy also suggested that the Chapter look into applying for a grant.This is something Sharon will check into.
Charity: No activity
Camp Girls Gifts: Pat Miller sent two birthday cards this month. Graduation and gift cards were sent to two previous campers.
Ways and Means: The Chapter is scheduled to bus tables at the Washington Pizza Ranch on Monday, June 20. Please sign up or let Leah know when you can work.
Program: Joan Rodgers will have the program for June. Sharon Bright and Mindy Fitzgibbons will be hostesses. The meeting will be held at the Olds United Church of Christ, as the girls will give their camp reports and the Founders Day recognition will be conducted.
New Business: Bills were presented and motion was made and seconded to pay them. Motion carried.
President Bright thanked Helen Mullin and Joan Roth for refreshments. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. The next regular meeting is Monday, June 20, at the Olds UCC. The meeting adjourned with the closing creed.
The Wyman Community Club met Monday, June 6, at the Frontier in Washington for lunch with 13 in attendance. Present were Frieda Finke, Pauline Richardson, Ruth Erwin, Elaine Fuller and Billie Jo Rose, all of Crawfordsville; John Wittrig and Laura Wittrig of Winfield; Wanda Graber of Wayland; Ruth Johnston of Ainsworth; Joann Love and Peggy Buffington of Washington and Vivan and Eileen Jennings of Columbus Junction.
Members are to note that there will not be a meeting in July, and in August the group will meet at the Ainsworth Four Corners at 11:30.
Clarissa Malmberg and daughter, Sharon Malmberg enjoyed a four-day trip recently with their daughter and sister, Karen and Frank Genuardi in St. Augustine, Florida.
