Larry and Donna Fletcher and Alice Trees of Winfield celebrated an early Christmas on Wednesday when they drove to Cedar Falls to the home of Brad and Carol Fletcher. Others present were Clint Fletcher and Emma Fletcher and Ryleigh Reed.
Jason and Pamela Wiltfang, Bradley and Jackson of North Liberty spent Christmas Eve afternoon with his parents Dan and Linda Wiltfang where they all enjoyed a family tradition of cheese fondue. Later Dan and Linda drove to North Liberty where they spent the night and had fun watching the boys open their presents that Santa had delivered while they were in Crawfordsville. On Christmas Day they all went to Cedar Rapids for dinner with Pamela's parents, Ark and Jan Wong.
Mickey Blum, Don and Ruchel Hiller and Grace were guests of Nick and Leslie Duvall, Isabelle, Quincy and Pierce at West Chester, where they enjoyed gifts and supper on Christmas evening.
Christmas guests of Doug and Carol Steele were Carmen Steele of Omaha, Ne, Doug and Carrie Wilkerson and Emma of Center Point and Cory and Katie Steele, Kylee and Clayton of Crawfordsville.
On Saturday evening, Larry and Donna Fletcher met their daughter and husband, Pam and Steve Green of Washington and grandson, Fletcher Green and fiancee, Samantha (Sam) Milder of North Liberty at the United Church's Fellowship Hall to socialize and exchange gifts. They all also enjoyed Facetiming Jacob Green and fiancee, Zoey Thompson in Sigourney.
Mike and Shirley Massey joined family members Christmas Day at the home of their daughter and husband, Becky and Brad Groothuis and family in Marion. Others attending were Michelle Hoffman and family of Cedar Rapids, Jason and Jennifer Massey and family of Grandview, Mrs. Ramona Von Sprecken and Mrs. Mary Von Sprecken of Maquoketa.
One of my favorite Christmas gifts this year was on Sunday, December 6 when several members of the WACO vocal department, accompanied by their director, Jane Koch came to my home and sang Christmas carols. They also sang at Mickey Blum's and we want to thank those who arranged for this to happen. This was a fundraising event for the Band and Vocal Department at WACO.
