The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday evening, Jan. 11 at the Crawfordsville Community Room with 13 members present.
Lion President Mike Massey opened the meeting by leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Gene Miller gave the invocation.
Following a delicious meal prepared and served by Alice Hochstetler, the meeting reconvened. The minutes of the Dec. 14, 2021 meeting were read by Lion Billie Jo Rose and were approved as read. Treasurer Lion Finke gave his report.
Old Business:
The Drive-thru Christmas Giveaway was deemed a success and it was reported Santa gave away all his candy. Several packages of meat were donated to the local Food Pantry. Since there wasn't a Grand Prize this year, the money was given to the local 4-H Club. In other business, the Christmas lights were set to be taken down on Wednesday, Jan. 13.
New Business:
District Governor Terry Durham from the Eldridge Lions Club will be guest speaker at the Feb. 8 dinner meeting. It was decided to have the annual Pancake Supper, Saturday, Feb. 20 as a drive-thru at the Crawfordsville Fire Station from 4-7 p.m. This event will be a free-will offering.
