Crawfordsville news: Visitors, a new arrival and back to school fun

Recent visitors in the home of Opal Reschly were her cousins Howard and Eileen Burkholder of Hutchinson, KS., her brother, Donald of Latrop, Mo., and her sister and husband, Maryjane and Omar Troyer from North Port, FL. Her son, Rodney and wife, Gail Reschly of South Bend, IN. also visited over night..

Guests this past week with David and Zola Cerka were David?s sister and husband, Beth and Lee Tubach of Denver, CO.

Steve and Pam Davis welcomed a new granddaughter, Olivia Ann Driscoll, daughter of Mindy and Jerry Driscoll of Williamsburg. Olivia was born Friday, Aug.10, 2018. At birth she weighed 10 pounds and was 22 inches long. She was welcomed home by big brothers Blaine and Wyatt. Paternal grandparents are Elliott and Rita Driscoll of Williamsburg. Rodney and Joyce Letts of Washington are Olivia?s great-grandparents.

The sixth annual ice cream social and school supply drive will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, from 4-6 p.m. at the Crawfordsville Fire Station. Bring a school supply or monetary donation and get a root beer or strawberry float. Supplies will be donated to the WACO Elementary School. This event is sponsored by the Crawfordsville Community Club and the Crawfordsville Lions.
