Noah Rich, 16 and a sophomore at WACO High School is the son of Neil and Kori Rich of Crawfordsville and has been named the KCRG-TV Student of the Month. Mrs. Jane Koch the Vocal and Instrumental Teacher at WACO nominated him for the award.
He plays three instruments and with performances not being able to have a live audience, Noah stepped up to help his fellow students share the Christmas concert with the community.
His two passions of technology and music combined when it came time for the Holiday Concert. After months of hard work and rehearsals, it finally all came together. Noah filmed and put it together for everyone to see. The parents were finally able to see and watch their students perform, even though they weren't physically present.
Noah has built 23 computers, two for himself and the rest for others. He finds it very rewarding helping others. His dad got him started when he was quite young and he is able to help others with computer needs and tech support.
He also has done filming for the football team and practices.
Once out of high school, he plans to continue reaching out and helping others by studying to be a paramedic.
Note: As the Crawfordsville Lions Club was unable to meet on Jan. 25, due the weather, the next regular meeting will be a dinner meeting, Monday, Feb. 8 where further discussion will be held on the upcoming pancake supper Saturday, Feb. 20.
