Crawfordsville Study Club meets in Washington

Seven members of the Crawfordsville Study Club met at Dino's in Washington for a Dutch treat lunch on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Hostess Cathy Williams made the arrangements.

Following lunch, Cathy read some humorous stories. Then others shared special Christmas cards, stories and crafted items.

Several book briefs were also shared.

There will be no gathering in January, details of the February meeting are yet to be determined.

Those attending were Cathy Williams, Ruth Erwin, Janice Twinam, Clarissa Malmberg, Debbie Lowe, Rachel Koehler and Linda Wiltfang.

Baby Girl

Marty and Kenzie Lintz are the proud parents of a baby girl, Elsie Marie born Monday, November 28, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. She weighed in at 6 lbs. 10 oz. and was 20 inches long. She is welcomed home by her two year old big brother, Oliver.

Grandparents are Mike and Shelly Sternat of Mt. Union; Rick Lintz and Julie Pettit of Crawfordsville and Linda and Dean Timmins of Washington. Betty Sternat of Fredericksburg is Elsie's great-grandmother.

Christmas News

Joe and Alice Hochstetler and Lara Hochstetler left Wednesday before the big storm and drove to Indiana to celebrate the holidays. They were guests first in the home of Ilona and Matt Roberts and Grady at Milford. They spent Friday celebrating Grady's 3rd birthday. On Christmas Day they all gathered at the home of J.B. and Carla Hochstetler, Noah, Greta and Mussie in Syracuse. Also joining them were Tim and Kim Hochstetler, Alena, Bennett and Corina of Goshen. Then on Monday, they all gathered at J.B.'s for their annual fondue meal and returned home on Tuesday.

Enjoying a co-operative dinner on Christmas at the home of David and Zola Cerka were Jolleen Cerka and Tammy Valentine of Ainsworth.

Kevin Rose and Beth Bennett and David and Joi Dellamuth celebrated a late Christmas on New Year's Day with their mother, Billie Jo Rose.

A belated Christmas dinner and gift exchange was held Saturday at the home of Carolyn Love. Guests were Bruce Davis, Sonya Love-Smith and Audrey; Tyler and Maggie Robertson, Kinsley and Noah, Betsy Lasek and Preston; Wesley Love, Lawson and Isaac and Jamie Brames, Kamlyn and Kylee.
