Crawfordsville Wednesday Study Club meets

Eight members of the Crawfordsville Wednesday Study Club met at the Washington Hy-Vee deli for breakfast on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 9:30 a.m.
The meeting included the discussion of books read or are reading. A display of books was available for sharing. The rest of the morning was spent socializing.
Those attending were Ruth Erwin,Rachel Koehler,Debbie Lowe, Pauline Richardson, Joyce Roth, Janice Twinam, Cathy Williams and Linda Wiltfang.
The next meeting will be November 15, 2023 with time and place to be announced. Cathy Williams will be hostess.
CRAWFORDSVILLE LIONS CLUB
The Crawfordsville Lions met Monday evening, October 23, 2023 at the Crawfordsville Community Room with 12 members present. President Wilson opened the meeting leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Gene Miller led the prayer.
Secretary Rose read the minutes of the October 9 meeting and they were approved as read. Treasurer Finke gave his report.
Old Business: The Christmas drawing was discussed briefly, as well as the February Pancake Supper and details will be followed up on next meeting.
New Business: President Wilson passed a letter she had received from the Lions Clubs International Foundation that congratulated the club on earning a $50 Per Member Average banner patch, recognizing the club's cumulative support of the International Foundation in 2022-2023. The LCIF supports critical humanitarian needs in 208 countries and geographic areas around the world. Donations help provide vaccinations for children in developing countries and give food and shelter to the homeless after a disaster strikes their community. Where there is a need, there is a Lion.
Shirley Massey was congratulated and welcomed as a new member.
Lion Rose will make arrangements for the annual Christmas dinner to be held Monday, December 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Miller Homestead Cooking near Kalonal
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
Refreshments were served by Lions Lintz and Gene Miller.
Tail Twister Finke entertained with trivia.
T.T.T. FUNDRAISER
Chapter L Crawfordsville T.T.T. Society is holding a fundraiser "Lunch For A Cause" on Thursday, November 16th from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Addington Place in Mt. Pleasant to raise money for Camping for Girls.
The lunch will feature Turkey Tetrazzini, Green Peas, Garlic Bread and an Apple Turnover, all for $7.00. This is Carry Out or Delivery. Delivery is available in Mt.
