The Creative Living Department of Washington Fortnightly held the regular meeting in the United Presbyterian Dining Room on April 24, at 1:30 p.m.
The program was given by Diane Gallagher and Millie Youngquist on Washington's 175th Anniversary Celebration. They told of the different events that will be held at various locations around town and on the square. Each day will be devoted to a certain topic such as History Day, Business and Industry Day, Arts and Crafts Day, Ag Day, etc.
Refreshments were served from a beautifully decorated table.
A business meeting was held after refreshments. Ten members answered roll call with "My favorite historical site in Iowa." Joleen Krotz presided over the meeting. Members were reminded to bring items for the Lending Hands project to the next meeting. Sonja Campbell reported on the Scholarship Fund Project.
The next meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. May 22, at Kerr Hall in the second-floor lounge. The program will be RAGBRAI by Jan Boyd. Roll call will be "A Biking Experience."
