Iowa State University Extension and Outreach specialists will travel to the Comfort Suites Hotel in Burlington on January 3, 2020 for the 2020 Crop Advantage Series to provide farmers, crop consultants and agribusinesses with current research from Iowa State University and updated management information and recommendations based on current and future crop production issues. In addition, the meeting also will offer continuing educations credits for Certified Crop Advisers (CCA) and Iowa private pesticide applicator continuing Instruction Course credit.
'The Crop Advantage Series is a unique program that brings many extension specialists together to individual sites across the state,” said Virgil Schmitt, ISU Extension and Outreach Field Agronomist. 'Content at each meeting is driven by county needs and production issues.”
Topics at the Crop Advantage Series meeting will include: ag trade with China, weed management in 2020, corn and soybean disease update, and crop insect update, soil fertility considerations, grain drying and storage, and a crop market outlook for 2020.
There is a registration fee. Registration includes lunch, printed proceedings, private pesticide applicator recertification and CCA credits.
Online registration and additional information is available at www.cropadvantage.org or from your county extension office.
