Cummings reunion held Aug. 4

The 70th Annual Cummings Reunion was held Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Morning Sun Community Center with 19 in attendance and Mary Kilpatrick presided.

Attending were: Jackie Erickson and Richard Gibbs of Cedar Rapids; Tom and Doris Woodruff of Coralville; Brian and Kristie Cummings of Columbus Junction; Don and DeAnne Lindholm of Morning Sun; Dave and Marie Wilson of Wapello; Ken and Jo Noble of West Liberty; Morrie Noble of Atalissa; Myrtle and John Jeffery of Salem; Ed and Shirley Hudson and Ed and Mary Kilpatrick of Winfield.

The Cummings Reunion potluck dinner featured great Iowa summer family homemade foods followed by each family sharing and recording stories that embraced family coming from Ireland and Morning Sun roots.

Drawings for Irish-made gifts were held including the traveling Irish walking stick (shillala) won this year by Ed Hudson.
