Dale Max Spiesz

Dale Max Spiesz, 80, of Farmington, Iowa passed away at 6:38 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Fort Madison Community Hospital in Fort Madison, Iowa. He was born on April 13, 1938 in Farmington, Iowa to Howard Henry and Dorothy Pauline (Horsey) Spiesz. Survivors include two brothers: H. Eugene Spiesz of Farmington, Iowa and Francis L. (Kathy) Spiesz of Farmington, Iowa; one sister: Letha Mae Spiesz of Farmington Iowa; and two nephews: Michael and Dean Spiesz. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister in law: Joanne. Dale was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed raising cattle, fishing, and looking at coins. He enjoyed going to auctions especially at the Keosauqua Sale Barn. His body has been entrusted in Schmitz Funeral Home for cremation. Friends may call and meet with the family from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Schmitz Funeral Home in Donnellson, Iowa. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Schmitz Funeral Home in Donnellson. Burial will be at Embury Cemetery near Donnellson, Iowa. A memorial has been established for the Embury Cemetery. Schmitz Funeral Home of Donnellson is assisting the family with arrangements.
