Dan Blair, 67, of Yarmouth, died on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at the Yarmouth First Baptist Church. Rev. Jeff Duffy will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, in rural Morning Sun. Visitation will begin after noon on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Elliott Chapel, in New London, with the family greeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

Dan Blair, 67, of Yarmouth, died on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, at his home.

A memorial has been established to the Winfield-Mt. Union Golf Program.
Blair was born on Feb. 22, 1948, in Burlington, the son of Earl and Pauline Lucille Swails Blair. On Nov. 5, 1994, he married Linda Lou Strahlman, in Pleasant Grove. He was a 1966 graduate of Morning Sun High School and a graduate of Southeastern Community College.
He was retired from General Electric, in Burlington. He was also a member of the Morning Sun Fire Department serving as Fire Chief and as an EMT with the ambulance crew.
He enjoyed Nascar, camping, the Iowa Hawkeyes, his dog, and his grandchildren?s sports.
He was a member of the Morning Sun United Methodist Church.
Blair is survived by his wife; his daughter, Gina (Jason) Hagge, of Morning Sun; his sister, Joyce Herndon, of Monticello; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
