Daniel E. ?Danny? Himes, 63, of Newton, formerly of Farmington, died on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at the Mercy Medical Center.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Schmitz Funeral Homes. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Daniel E. ?Danny? Himes, 63, of Newton, formerly of Farmington, died on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at the Mercy Medical Center.

Himes was born July 6, 1953, in Albia, the son of Bennie A. and Dorothy Marie Bestel Himes.
Himes was a small engines mechanic.
He enjoyed spending time with his siblings, gardening and working outdoors.
Himes is survived by two daughters; one sister, Shirley (John) Husak, of Farmington; and one brother, Wilbur Himes, of Wayland, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Barbara Counts.
