Daughters of the American Revolution holding school supply drive

Every year, we at the Daughters of the American Revolution, James Harlan Chapter, lead drives for supplies to help local schools. This year, we are focusing on the elementary schools in New London and WACO, donating classroom supplies as well as clothing to areas in need. We are looking for the following:
New Items: Pens, Pencils, Erasers, Markers, Folders, Notebooks, Binders, Clorox Wipes, Hand Sanitizer, Tissues, Rubber, Gloves, Boys Socks Size 10-13, or 13-4, Girls Socks Size 10-13, or 13-4, Girls Underwear Size 5-8 , or 10-14, Boys Underwear Size 5-8, or 10-14.
New or Gently Used Items: Gloves, Scarves, Backpacks, Boys and Girls Sweatpants, Boys and Girls Pants, Children's Books.
To donate, you can go to our donation boxes at the Mt. Pleasant Library and at the New London VFW. We will be collecting donations through the month of November until the 15th.
The James Harlan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is celebrating 100 years of involvement and service to our community. Members of DAR descend from patriots who fought in the American Revolution. The objectives of DAR are historical preservation and the promotion of education and patriotic endeavors.
