Davison family holds 85th annual reunion

The decedents of John Sr. and Eva (Pickens) Davison met Sunday, Aug. 1, in Crawfordsville. Twenty family members attended.

Last year’s reunion was canceled because of the COVID-19 virus.

This year President Larry Swailes and wife, Barb, found the Crawfordsville site to hold the event, which had been held at the Washington Community Center in the past.

Larry welcomed those attending, and Ken Wagner gave the blessing.

Children of John Sr. and Evan (Pickens) Davison were Mary (Davison) Wagner, Charlie Davison, John Davison Jr., Roy Davison, Clara (Davison) Glasgow Banda and Dora (Davison) Wagner.

Representing those children were families of Charlie Davison and Dora (Davison) Wagner: Jack and Jan Kiesey, Jerry and Janice Flory, Rodney and Joyce Letts, Ken Wagner, Mark and Sheila Lukins and Mitchell, Gary Lukins from Washington; Donald Davison from Wayland; Larry and Barb Swailes from Crawfordsville; Cindy and Conner McKinney from Letts; Dick and Ruth Lukins from Columbus Junction; Bill Wagner from Morning Sun; and Kris Storr from Muscatine.

Next year’s reunion will be held on the first Sunday of August at 12:30 p.m. Location is to be announced later.
