The deadline to pre-register for the Nov. 3 city elections to be held in Washington County, is Friday, Oct. 23 at 5 p.m. Worry-free postmarks for registration forms submitted by mail would be Monday, Oct. 19. Alternatively, any person who is eligible to vote may register in person on election day by completing a voter registration application, making written oath, and providing proof of both identity and residence. Registration on or before Oct. 23 is strongly encouraged to avoid delays at the polling place.
Residents of Washington County may register at the County Auditor?s Office at the Courthouse in Washington or any driver?s license station. The County Auditor?s Office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23.
Individuals who are currently registered to vote in Washington County, and who have moved within the county, may change their address at the polls on election day with proper identification but are encouraged to register the change prior to Oct. 23.
