Dedication to Skaggs at Birmingham park
BIRMINGHAM ? The family of the late Howard Skaggs will dedicate a cement picnic table and bench in his memory Saturday at Birmingham City Park.
The event will be noon to 4 p.m. Sandwiches and drinks will be served at noon, and the dedication will be at 1:30 p.m.
All family and friends are invited to attend.

BIRMINGHAM ? The family of the late Howard Skaggs will dedicate a cement picnic table and bench in his memory Saturday at Birmingham City Park.

All family and friends are invited to attend.
Howard Grant Skaggs, age 95, of Birmingham, died July 11, 2015, at his home in Birmingham. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Birmingham City Park were requested.
Mr. Skaggs was born March, 2 1920, in Easton, Illinois. He married Irma Nelson July 4, 1944, in Fairfield. He worked for 23 years at Rockwell Standard; he also helped build the Michigan/Wisconsin pipeline. He was a farmer.
Mr. and Mrs. Skaggs have five children, Linda Davidson of Birmingham, Marsha McDonald of Norwalk, Janet Manning of West Des Moines, Randy Skaggs of Danville, Illinois, and the late Sharon Diane Skaggs. They also have several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
