Rachel Swanson, daughter of David and Karen Swanson of Fairfield, is given the Jefferson County Democratic Party Scholarship worth $600 by Rep. Curt Hanson. A 2011 graduate of Fairfield High School, Swanson will start her nursing education in the fall at Indian Hills Community College.
