District Governors visit Winfield Lions Club

Lions International have district governors visit the clubs in their area yearly. Jan. 22 the Winfield Lions Club were honored with a visit from District Governor Paul Hain and his wife. Paul is from Lone Tree and 50 year plus member of Lions.
DG Hain spoke of his theme this year - “Bee True to a Vision-Buzz with a Purpose. “ He and his son are beekeepers and thus the bee theme. DG Hain encouraged the club to continue to seek new members and praised the club for its commitment to serving Winfield. The Winfield Lions treasurer then presented several checks of donations to various parts of Lions Club International.
Fourteen members and two guests were present. DG Hain honored several members with their years of service. Ed Kilpatrick, Joan Thompson and Scott Jennings received a chevron for thirty years as a Winfield Lion. Corriene Culver received a chevron for fifteen years of service.
A potluck supper was served. The Hains also provided an opportunity to purchase a district pin and also bottles of honey if desired.
