DNR: Ice unsafe for anglers
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources?s weekly fishing report released Thursday states several fishing spots in southeast Iowa have unsafe ice.
Lake Geode, Lake Belva Deer and Lake Sugema are listed among those with unsafe ice.

Ice conditions at Lake Sugema have deteriorated. and the ice is too thin to support anglers.
At Rathbun Reservoir, the lake level is 903.06 feet, with 904 feet being normal. Ice conditions have deteriorated, and the ice is too thin to support anglers. Anglers are reminded Lake Rathbun contains zebra mussels so make sure to clean, drain and dry equipment before transporting to another water body.
