Donnellson Fall Festival?s quilting contest looking for submissions

All area quilters are invited to create an individual quilt block for inclusion in the Donnellson Fall Festival Quilting contest.
All entries must be submitted by Sept. 5, 2016. There is no entry fee. All quilt blocks should measure 12 and 1/2 inches, be made of cotton fabrics or cotton blends. Quilters may enter more than one block, which should include the name of the block, why the design was chosen and the name and address of the quilter.
There are age categories including: junior (age 14 and younger); intermediate (age 15 to 20); and adult (21 and over). Quilt blocks will be judged in three categories in the adult division including: most creative; best workmanship; and the best use of color. There will be a first, second and third pacing in each category of show. In the intermediate and junior divisions, the blocks will be judged on creativity and best use of color. Junior categories will also be judged for a ?Best of Show?.
All blocks will become the property of the Donnellson Fall Festival and will be incorporated into a quilt to be given away the following year.
