Doris Coppes, 92, Yarmouth died Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Klein Center, West Burlington. She was born March 21, 1926 in Marshalltown to Charles David and Mildred Wellons Brennecke. January 27, 1946 she married Milo Forrest Coppes.

She was a graduate of Lamoille High School and NE Missouri State University. She taught one year at Yarmouth and then substituted. She was a member of Yarmouth Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening, camping, bird watching, fishing, reading and history and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include 5 children; Ronald, Dennis, Janelle, Andrew and Sally; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Jean Coppes and Rosemarie Chester. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded by sons, Kevin and Michael; granddaughter, Haley; brothers, David , Karl and Frank Brennecke; and sisters, Marian Rasmus, Carol Scarbrough, and in infancy Janet Nell and Katherine Brennecke.

Visitation will begin at 9 AM Friday at Elliott Chapel with the family greeting friends until 11 AM services. Pastor Jeff Duffy will officiate with interment being held at Trinity Cemetery, Mt.
