Dorothys to observe 70th wedding anniversary

Vern and Carolyn Dorothy of Mt. Pleasant are observing their 70th wedding anniversary June 5.
Carolyn Jean Smith and Vern Dorothy were married June 5, 1949, at the bride's home in Birmingham.
The Dorothys are the parents of one son: R.V. Dorothy and wife Teresa of Vallejo, California; and one daughter: Joy Messer and husband Brian of Fairfield. They also have four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
