The 72nd Annual Douds Field Day is this Saturday and Sunday, June 20-21, at Yates Memorial Park in Douds.
Here is a schedule of events for the weekend.
Saturday, June 20
7:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m.
Pancake and sausage breakfast
Douds Community Center (With reduced seating.)
8:00 a.m. Douds Dash: Two mile, fun run-walk.
There is a cost for this event.
8:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Parade Line up at Leando Memorial Park
No later than 9:30 a.m. for judging.
Top Prizes will be awarded for 5 classes: Themed Float, Comical Entry, Decorated Vehicle, Oldest Running Vehicle, Oldest Running Tractor (no steel lugged wheels)
9:00 a.m. Vendor Fair Set up
(Tear down and clean up before 5:00 p.m.)
There is an entry fee for space.
10:00 a.m. Parade Theme: Celebrate Freedom!
Remembering the 75th Anniversary of the End of WWII
Grand Marshal: Robbie Stinson, WWII Pilot, Purple Heart Recipient
(Route extended to Morrow Street for social distancing. You can even watch from the Des Moines River bridge!)
11:30 a.m. Cook shack Concession Stand open all day
Outdoor seating only
11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Motorcycle Show.
Entry fee. Trophies for 5 classes.
12:30 p.m. Kids' Games & More!
1:00 p.m. Cake Walk
1:00 Don Garrett Memorial Farm Horse Skills Demonstration
(Across the street from Yates Park.)

2:00 p.m. ATV/UTV Farm Challenge
Registration and Meeting, $10 entry fee, Liability Waiver
2:00 p.m. Sanctioned Hawkeye Pedal Pull
(Registration is at 1:30 p.m.)
4:00 p.m. Bags Tournament
$10 per team of two, cash prizes (On Douds Community Club Facebook Page)
5:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at the Cook Shack, $8. Drinks and dessert extra.

6:30 p.m. Auction of Home-baked goods and donated merchandise.
Drawing for a $350 Moore's Grocery Certificate and $150 Douds Kwik Stop Certificate
7:30 p.m. Music by Dusty Roads and The Limestone Cowboys
Rain or shine-Bring your lawn chair
Sunday, June 21
10:00 a.m. Outdoor Community worship service.
(Across from Yates Park in the tent, not Mt. Moriah. Bring your lawn chair.)
11:30 a.m. Lunch served at the Cook Shack

Tractor Pulling Contest
1:00p.m. Tractor Drivers Meeting
