Dover Museum presents ‘Living in Alaska in the 1960s’

NEW LONDON - Virginia Ekstrand will present a program about her time in Alaska at the Dover Museum in New London on Sunday, Oct. 27.
Ekstrand's program, 'Living in Alaska in the 1960s” will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Ekstrand and her husband lived in Alaska for six and a half years, at which time two important events happened in their lives - the birth of their first child and the Great Alaskan Earthquake, the largest ever experienced in the United States.
The presentation will include photos from their time in Alaska as well as an exhibit of Native Alaskan items the couple brought back with them.
There is no charge to attend the event, but donations are appreciated. Refreshments will follow the question/answer time.
