Dover Museum to open for the season begining Saturday

The Dover Museum in New London will open for the season Saturday May 4, and will be open every Saturday and Sunday through October, 1-4 p.m., or other times by appointment at 319-367-2573. There is no charge. Donations are welcome.

New this year on the second floor are two cases that hold part of the museum's military memorabilia and another that contains early office equipment, including one of the first Apple computers used in the computer lab at Clark Elementary School.

The library includes county birth, marriage, and death records, family genealogy, obituaries, etc. Early county maps and history books contain interesting information. Changes have been made in the ‘one-room school.'

The furnished train depot showcases an earlier time in railroad history. Next to it is the ‘Little White Chapel' moved here from south of New London.
