Marine veteran Herbert Hammen of Washington used to be in charge of the American flag during Memorial Day remembrances. This picture was taken outside of the post office, and was taken during the 1960s. Hammen recently obtained a grave marker for his brother Charles who was killed in the Battle of the Bulge.
