Downtown After Sundown returns
BONAPARTE ? Bonaparte?s annual Downtown After Sundown returns this summer with more dancing, shopping and fun for the family.

BONAPARTE ? Bonaparte?s annual Downtown After Sundown returns this summer with more dancing, shopping and fun for the family.
The event, sponsored by non-profit Bonaparte Main Street Inc., will be 7-10 p.m. July 28 in downtown Bonaparte?s Riverfront District.
An ice cream social sponsored by the Bonaparte United Church kicks off events at 5 p.m. They will serve homemade vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream along with pie, cake and sandwiches.
A street dance will be held in the 600 block of First Street with the musical stylings of Ned Frances from 7-10 p.m.
Also starting at 7 p.m., other events downtown include; kids? games and fried Kool-Aid hosted by the Wanderland Bar and Grill; snow cones, lemonade and face painting provided by Friends of the Library; and Bonaparte Main Street will have tattoos and Bonaparte merchandise.
Downtown businesses will be open late with sidewalk sales at Waterfront Place, Christmas in July at the Addie May Fudge Factory, and in-store specials at Kois. Other participating businesses include Burns Gallery and Tea Emporium, The Repeat Boutique, Bonaparte Mercantile, Jet Stop and the Bonaparte Retreat.
Photo opportunities will be available with the Belle of Bonaparte and her mysterious stranger or children playing along Washington Street.
