Dr. James Schlichtmann to join WCHC Medical Clinic

Washington County Hospital and Clinics is pleased to announce the addition of James Schlichtmann, M.D. to the medical team at WCHC Medical Clinic. Dr. Schlichtmann began to see patients on Dec.1.

Dr. Schlichtmann is a family medicine provider with more than 22 years of experience. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1994 and subsequently completed an internship and residency with the University of Iowa. Prior to his appointment with WCHC, Dr. Schlichtmann was with Mercy Services Clinic in Iowa City. He has served in the capacities of family medicine, emergency medicine, inpatient coverage and medical director for long-term care. Dr. Schlichtmann is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine as well as holds certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
