Kenneth Rayner, 91, New London, died Monday, April 16, 2018.
He was born November 26, 1926 to Ross and Theodora Peet Rayner. He graduated from Lone Tree High School. Kenneth farmed until attending University of Iowa and Iowa State University. September 6, 1954 he married Marianne Jaeger from Keota. In 1958, he graduated from Veterinary Medicine practicing in New London from 1958-1996.

Kenneth Rayner, 91, New London, died Monday, April 16, 2018.
He was born November 26, 1926 to Ross and Theodora Peet Rayner. He graduated from Lone Tree High School. Kenneth farmed until attending University of Iowa and Iowa State University. September 6, 1954 he married Marianne Jaeger from Keota. In 1958, he graduated from Veterinary Medicine practicing in New London from 1958-1996.
Dr. Rayner was an Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II, member of the American Legion, active in veterinary organizations, and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his wife; children, Renee Brown, Ross Rayner and Robyn Rayner; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and brother, Keith.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Diane Rayner Brinkmeyer, and grandson, Jacob Rayner Chmelka.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on April 27, 2018 at the Lone Tree Cemetery with Pastor Rod Cooper officiating. Immediately following the service, family will receive friends at the American Legion Hall; libations and a meal will be served. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be in the hall.
