Fairfield Fire Department has a new boat and brought it to Bonnifield Lake Wednesday evening for training firefighters on water rescue and recovery operations. Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Six briefed crews before launching the boat that everyone riding in the boat would always wear life jackets, and not firefighting bunker gear, including the boots. The boat and trailer are housed at the fire station and can be dispatched quickly for a water accident call.
