Duet to perform at library
Shelley Lawson, a pianist and retired art teacher for the Washington School District, will be playing duets with a guest pianist, Debbie Nelson, at the Washington Public Library on Thursday, Dec. 18, from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Bring your lunch and enjoy a free holiday concert at the library.

Lawson taught art at Stewart Elementary for 31 years, retiring in 2008. She?s currently a part-time pianist at VonMaur in Davenport.
Nelson graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City, with a degree in music. She taught for 24 years and now enjoys her hobbies.
