OTTUMWA ? The Mt. Pleasant eighth-grade girls had another great day on the basketball court on Thursday night.
The Panther ?A? team doubled-up Ottumwa, 40-20, in their game. The ?B? team had a dominant win, 38-4 in theirs.
The ?A? team trailed 9-8 after the first quarter, but outplayed the Bulldogs from then on.

OTTUMWA ? The Mt. Pleasant eighth-grade girls had another great day on the basketball court on Thursday night.
The Panther ?A? team doubled-up Ottumwa, 40-20, in their game. The ?B? team had a dominant win, 38-4 in theirs.
The ?A? team trailed 9-8 after the first quarter, but outplayed the Bulldogs from then on.
The Panthers outscored Ottumwa, 32-11 over the final three quarters, closed out by a 12-2 fourth-quarter run to pick up the 20-point win.
Emma Huckabone led the Panthers with 11 points. Elli Liechty and Emma Rugg had eight points. Karsyn Lamm had six. Avery Sutter had five and Ryann Davidson had two.
The ?B? team dominated all four quarters. They shut the Bulldogs out, 9-0 in the first quarter, led 15-2 at halftime and allowed just two points in the second half in their 32-point win.
Christina Carthey and Mikayla Ackles each reached double-digits in the win. Carthey had 18 points to lead the team and Ackles added 14 points of her own.
The Panther ?A? team moved to 8-1 with the win and the ?B? team moved to 6-1-1.
Mt. Pleasant will be back in action in Fairfield on Monday, Dec. 5, at 4:30 p.m.
