Soup supper Saturday at Eldon United Methodist

ELDON ? Eldon United Methodist Church will host Soup and More! from 3-7 p.m. Saturday.

A variety of soups, including oyster, will be served along with breads, relishes, homemade desserts and beverages.

A freewill offering will be collected.

First Baptist fundraising with soup, sandwich lunch Sunday

First Baptist Church in Fairfield will have a soup and sandwich fundraising luncheon following its 10:15 a.m. worship service Sunday.

A freewill offering will be collected.

The proceeds will be used to help offset the expenses of youth attending the Ignite Conference in Des Moines.

First Christian?s monthly soup supper set Thursday

First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Fairfield will have its monthly soup supper from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday.

A variety of soups will be served along with Kenny?s Cornbread, relishes and pies.

Everyone is invited.

A freewill offering will be collected.

W/ELCA Action workdays set

The Women of the ELCA of First Lutheran Church in Fairfield will have Action workdays beginning at 9 a.m. Monday and Tuesday.

Maxine Bates Circle needs donations for projects

The Maxine Bates Circle of First Baptist Church in Fairfield will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

The women will be rolling bandages, cutting soup can labels and greeting card fronts.

Those attending are asked to bring scissors.

The women are always in need of clean, old bedsheets to cut and roll into bandages and used greeting cards for mission work. Donations can be left on weekday mornings in the church office.

Sewing day set Thursday

Word of Life Lutheran Church in Fairfield will have a sewing day, with the quilters, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.
