Elementary Art Show opens for art walk

The annual Fairfield Community School District Elementary Art Show will be open from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday during the April Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk at Pence Elementary School.

The halls and gym of Pence are transformed into a gallery of children?s artwork for the long-standing traditional annual show, but this marks the first year it will be open on a Friday night for the art walk.

The Elementary Art Show also will be open from 1-3 pm. Saturday and Sunday.

The Elementary Art Show features the work of students of the school district in grades kindergarten through fourth grade and includes the students from Libertyville, Pence and Washington elementary schools.

Art teachers for the school district are Alicia Carradus, Debbie Finney, David Kraemer and Holly McDow.
