The public is invited to an informational meeting about the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) and learn about the invasive pest that is killing Iowa?s ash trees. The meeting will cover the EAB basics, what it means for our ash trees, management options and what tree species you should consider planting.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at the Washington County Extension Office. There is no charge to attend this public meeting.
Presenters will be Hannah Howard, Trees Forever field coordinator, and Andy Dahl, University of Iowa arborist. The meeting is sponsored by Washington Tree Committee, Washington County Extension and Trees Forever.
