End of Summer motorcycle rally set in Keosauqua

The 30th Annual End of Summer Rally will be held Friday through Sunday, Sept. 13-15. at the Van Buren County Fairgrounds, north of Keosauqua.
The gates will open at noon Sept. 13. Participants must be 21 years old to enter the grounds. Food and camping are available on the grounds, with free firewood and hot showers available.
Weekend tickets are available in advance or at the gate.
Special events include the ever-popular 'Fun Run” through Lacey-Keosauqua State Park and downtown Keosauqua at 7 p.m. Sept. 13 and Sept. 14. The Bike Show will be 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 14. Poker Run sign-up begins at 10 a.m. Sept. 14; payout is at 3 p.m. Bike Rodeo for 500cc bikes and larger will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 14. The 'Motorcycle Pulling Sled” begins at 8 p.m. both Sept. 13 and Sept. 14. The Burnout Pit will be held the night of Sept. 13. Sunday worship is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 15 by Christian M/C Association.
There will be live music all weekend. Thursday night, Sept. 12, enjoy blues veteran and Quad City based band Hal Reed and Mississippi Journey. The night of Sept. 13 features heavy blues with John Paul Jones Group, blues/rock stylings of 69 BAND and a mix of rock, metal and blues with Fort Dodge native Brutal Republic.
The evening entertainment Sept. 14 includes Missouri based rockers BootCut, hard hitting metal/rock band Hellinois and Randall Hall, formerly of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and now performing at the State Line Rally. The event is presented by State Line Rally Association with support from Golden Eagle Distributing.
No one under 21, no pets, no firearms and no fireworks are allowed.
