End of Summer Motorcycle Rally starts at noon Sept. 14
KEOSAUQUA ? The 23nd annual End of Summer Rally will be Sept. 14-16 at the Van Buren County Fairgrounds along Highway 1 North in Keosauqua.
The gates will open at noon Sept. 14. The cost for a weekend ticket is $25 in advance or $30 at the gate. Attendees must be 21 years old to enter the grounds. Food and camping is available on the grounds, and free firewood and hot showers are available.

KEOSAUQUA ? The 23nd annual End of Summer Rally will be Sept. 14-16 at the Van Buren County Fairgrounds along Highway 1 North in Keosauqua.
The gates will open at noon Sept. 14. The cost for a weekend ticket is $25 in advance or $30 at the gate. Attendees must be 21 years old to enter the grounds. Food and camping is available on the grounds, and free firewood and hot showers are available.
Special events include the ever-popular ?Fun Run? through Lacey-Keosauqua State Park and downtown Keosauqua at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 and 15. The bike show will begin at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 15. The poker run sign-up begins at 10 a.m. Sept. 15; payout is at 3 p.m. The Bike Rodeo will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 15. The ?Motorcycle Pulling Sled? begins at 8 p.m. Sept. 14 and 15, with Brent Wagner, known as ?Schwag? from the Speed Channel series ?Past-time,? as the announcer. A worship service is at 9 a.m. Sept. 16 by Christian M/C Association.
Sept. 16 features AMA-sanctioned short-track motorcycle racing sponsored by D.C. Promotions. Hotlaps begin at 10 a.m. and races start at noon, with a $5,000 minimum cash guarantee. Race-day-only tickets are $10; people younger than 21 are admitted on race day only.
Live music is planned all weekend. The night of Sept. 14 features local favorite Slick Willie; Texas singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Randy McCallister; and headliner Beaker Brothers from Cedar Rapids.
Entertainment the evening of Sept. 15 includes Wide Track from Quad Cities; Riker from northeast Missouri; and headliner Blackfoot.
The event is presented by State Line Rally Association, with support from Golden Eagle Distributing.
