Oct. 13, the five students from Fairfield Art of Dance passed Cecchetti Ballet Exams in St. Louis. The Cecchetti exams address ballet technique, musicality and knowledge of ballet theory. The students learn set exercises. Each exercise is memorized and refined until the student is able to execute them correctly. Every detail is important in the exams so nothing goes unchecked: arms, head, feet, legs, timing and more.
Bland and Schaefer passed their Grade 1 exam and Anderson, Martin and Kelley all passed their Grade 2 exam.
