Fairfield Art Association holds summer camp

The Fairfield Art Association recently completed its annual Art Camp, with the theme of "Look Into Art.“
The camp was held the week of Aug. 2-6 at the FAA Studio in the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center for children in 3-6th grade. An exhibit of all the camp's art work created was put on display that Friday in the FACC with a reception for the young artists.
Projects during the week included:
Create "Eye Glasses Summer Art Installation" to be placed on the Fairfield Square.
Make a Matisse painting using the power of the sun.
Build a sculpture.
Learn about "Paint Skins" and use them for mosaic painting or jewelry.
Blind embossing printed with FAA's printing press, used to create an art journal.
Pastel Resist project.
Making original collage trading cards to exchange.
