Sep. 1, 2021 12:41 am
The Fairfield Art Association has announced that Friday, Sept. 3 is the last chance to acquire an original art piece from its downtown summer art installation. Twenty-two artists created 18 art works with the theme "2020 in 2021 - A Better View," and they are displayed in the garden nodes around the square and up North Main Street.
This annual art installation is a fundraiser for the FAA and helps support its many art projects, exhibits and events, along with 50% of proceeds going to the artists. Bidding by silent auction is taking place now in the Main Gallery area at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center, with bid sheets and photos of each piece. Bids can also be emailed to Suzan Kessel at suzan1252@aol.com or by texting 641-919-2121 until 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Artists participating include: Curt Swarm, Colleen Matson, Jewell McDonald, Cindy Ballou, Danielle Shier, Cris Soth, Joey Katz, Anne Walton, Pam Lander, Mendy McAdams, Mike Pech, Tree Neal, Axis Vision, David Kraemer, Kathy Tollenaere, Suzan Kessel, Meghan Kurth, Josie & Lyle Hannes, Freya Gilrain & Samuel Scott, and Wendy Stegall.
Bidding on the art installations in Fairfield’s Central Park ends Friday night, Sept. 3.
