Fairfield Concert Association kicks off season with Harps & Chords Sunday

The Fairfield Concert Association kicks off its 71st season with an emerging new duo from New York City, Harps & Chords, at 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 5, at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center's Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts.
Featuring harpist Jacqueline Kerrod and vocalist Daisy Press, Harps & Chords performs contemporary and popular music from various decades. They have created a strong following for their intimate yet energetic performances.
Both Kerrod and Press have wide-ranging backgrounds and performance experience, having played at venues such as Brooklyn's House of Yes, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, Joe's Pub, Birdland, and many others both in the U.S. and abroad.
Their repertoire includes classic Beatles songs such as 'And I Love Her” and 'Maybe I'm Amazed,” Elvis songs including 'Can't Help Falling In Love,” Bob Dylan classics like 'Make You Feel My Love,” George Gershwin's 'Summertime” and many other well-loved standards from the past and present.
Tickets for Harps & Chords are available to the general public at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center ticket office, 641-472-2787 and online at www.FairfieldACC.com. Membership in the Fairfield Concert Association is not required.
The 2019-20 Fairfield Concert Association season features five performances, plus members can attend all concerts in Washington, Ottumwa, Keokuk, and Centerville, with the reciprocity agreement with the respective concert associations.
The mission of the Fairfield Concert Association is to provide the Fairfield community and its reciprocities with fine talent, in a variety of genres, for a reasonable fee. Adult memberships, family memberships and student memberships are available at the Sondheim ticket office.
