Fairfield Congregate meal menu

Congregate meals are served at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday at the Fairfield Community Center.

The upcoming menu includes:

Thursday, Aug. 29 – turkey and noodles, peas and carrots, kidney bean salad, peach pie and wheat roll.

Friday, Aug. 30 – smothered chicken, homemade mashed potatoes, spinach, Rice Krispie Treat, and wheat roll. The alternate dine in vegetable choice is corn.

The September menu is not yet available.

Each meal also includes wheat dinner roll or bread, unless another bread item is noted, margarine and skim milk.

Reservations for meals are required one day in advance. Reservations can be made either at the community center or by calling 641-472-4403.

For people 60 years of age and older and their spouse of any age, there is a suggested contribution based on income range. Individuals younger than 60 pay the full meal charge as posted at the meal site.

Check at the meal sites for meal options, such as shelf-stable meals or frozen meals, to use on days when no meal is served at the center.

Bingo is scheduled to be played from 12:15-1:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the Fairfield Community Center.
