Fairfield Farmers Market to hold spring vendors meeting
Mar. 15, 2023 10:08 am
The Fairfield Farmers Market Spring Vendors Meeting will be held Saturday, April 15, in preparation for the upcoming Summer Farmers Market season. The market is intended to provide an opportunity for local folks to sell items which are grown, baked or made by themselves.
All items must be grown or produced in either Jefferson and/or adjoining counties or in Iowa, Johnson or Mahaska Counties. The meeting is for returning and new vendors. If you've been considering selling your wares at our vibrant market, come and learn how to proceed.
The State of Iowa has implemented Cottage Food Law 2023. This expands the type of home produced food items which may be offered for sale directly to consumers at the Market. The new regulations will be explained and discussed at length in the meeting.
Spring Vendor Meeting: Saturday, April 15, 1:30 p.m. at Golden Magnolia Sanctuary, 200 South Main Street, Fairfield.
Opening Day of the Summer Outdoor Market begins, Saturday, May 6, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Howard Park, Court and Grimes Streets, Fairfield.
