The Fairfield High School FFA participated in an Adopt-a-Highway roadside cleanup on Oct. 4.
The FFA members met at the high school and traveled south on Highway 1. They cleaned up a 2-mile stretch of ground north of Birmingham.
“We got there about 2:00 in the afternoon, and it was a beautiful day out,” said Fairfield FFA Reporter Nate Woodburn.
The group had 10 members show up to help: Emma Clubb, Brandon Gerleman, Nick Kaska, Jackson Nelson, Jordan Pohren, Dillan Post, Nate Smithburg, Brad Woodburn, Maddi Woodburn, and Nate Woodburn.
“The FFA members enjoyed this because they got to help out by picking up trash, be outside on a nice day, and spend time with the other members,” said Nate.
