Fairfield First Fridays celebrates alley art
May. 5, 2021 7:50 pm
Fairfield First Fridays Art Walk is inviting the public to explore the alley art in Fairfield from May 7-14.
Take a picture of the art, or a selfie and:
email it to: fairfieldartwalk@gmail.com; or
text it to: 641-233-8883; or
post it/tag Fairfield First Fridays on social media.
Participants who do one of these things will be entered to win a gift card from one of nine local restaurants/stores. If you find a piece of alley art that First Fridays does not have posted, send the group a picture and get a bonus entry.
Residents are invited to walk around downtown, grab lunch at one of the local restaurants, pop into some of the local shops, grab coffee from one of the coffee shops and explore the alleys and downtown.
Fairfield Art Association will be opening a new exhibit by Pella artist Andrea Van Wyk in the Main Gallery at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center on Friday, May 7. The public is invited to view the art work from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on First Friday evening. (reminder: masks are currently required in the FACC facility).
“ICON Gallery always has a beautiful window full of art, and Central Park is a perfect place to spend an afternoon or evening,” stated a news release from First Fridays. “Take some time to enjoy the great spring weather, explore a little of Fairfield’s historic downtown and search for the alley art.”
