Fairfield library to host new creative writing group

The Fairfield Public Library will soon host creative writing group sessions for adults in the library meeting room.

The initial gathering is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m., and those in attendance that day will determine the schedule for future meetings.

Writers are encouraged to share what they’ve written in friendly, open discussion. No experience is necessary. All skill levels and writing genres are welcome and there is no charge for the program. Attendees are asked to bring a notebook and pen.

To register, call the library’s front desk at 641-472-6551 ext. 2. Group size is limited to 12 to ensure that each person can be heard during meetings. Masks are required.

Seating allows for social distancing, and the meeting room has its own air handler and air purifier.
