Fairfield library to show free film Jan. 10

The Fairfield Public Library will show a free film on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the film starts at 7:30 p.m. This biographical comedy-drama film is based on the later years of the lives of a comedy double act. The duo--an Englishman and an American--did movie comedies together, then stage shows, from 1927 to 1955.

The film focuses on details of the comedy duo's personal relationship while relating how they embarked on a grueling music hall tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland during 1953, while also struggling to develop a new film.
