Fairfield Middle School announces Students of the Month

The Fairfield Elks and Fairfield Middle School partner to celebrate the achievements of the Students of the Month.
FMS recently announced the students who were selected for this honor for January 2023.
This is what their nominating teachers and staff had to say about each recipient:
I would like to nominate E’lara Felt to receive the student of the month award. E’lara is a very dedicated young lady with limitless potential! Everything she does from organizing the classroom to assignments, she does with a smile. She has demonstrated academic growth this past month by staying focused, working hard, accepting constructive criticism, and being prepared. This growth mindset has led to her academic growth. Keep it up, E’lara!
The 5th Grade Team is excited to announce the January Student of the Month, Kyler Atwood. This young man comes to class prepared and ready to learn. He is respectful to everyone that he sees and shows great integrity. He follows Trojan PRIDE and can be counted on to be a positive role model both in and out of the classroom. We are proud of how hard he works and the dedication that he shows in completing his work. Keep up the great work and congratulations, Kyler!
Willow Woodson is the winner of the 6th-grade SOM for January. Willow is a hard worker who has made a lot of positive gains this year, especially in reading and writing. She's tenacious — she doesn't give up until she gets it. Willow is a pleasure to have in class. Congratulations, Willow, and keep up the excellent work!
The Sixth-Grade Team is proud to award Dylan Brown January’s Student of the Month Award. Dylan has worked extremely hard in class all year long. He is a very bright student who wants to learn, is very punctual & determined about getting his work done on time and to a high expectation. Dylan is also a very caring and compassionate student who is always willing to help out when it is needed. Congratulations, Dylan, keep up the great work!
Vanessa Kessel is a responsible and disciplined student. She comes into class every day with a positive attitude and is consistently prepared to learn. She asks good questions and is willing to push herself each day. She is kind and works well with others. She’s a good role model for her peers. Way to go, Vanessa!
Haley Ulin is a very hard worker. She takes pride in her work and always puts forth the effort to get the work done right. She is very attentive and good at participating in class activities and discussions. She asks questions to improve her understanding of the material. She is also very kindhearted, as she treats everyone with respect. She embodies the Trojan PRIDE expectations. Keep up the excellent work, Haley!
Bobby Short has been a rock star in demonstrating Trojan PRIDE. He will eagerly volunteer to help in any way possible. He is always respectful and makes a point to say "have a nice day" when leaving the classroom. These gestures show his true character. The 8th Grade Team is proud of you, Bobby! Keep up the good work!
Maylee Trump is a quiet leader in the classroom. She is always willing to help out her classmates which is much appreciated by her teachers. Maylee always makes sure to ask clarifying questions to turn in high quality work. The 8th Grade Team enjoys having Maylee in the classroom. Way to go, Maylee! Keep on this awesome path!
